Samford Women’s Golf To Compete In Troy Invitational

--- Bulldogs wrap up fall play with Troy Tournament ---

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The Samford women’s golf team with conclude play for the fall campaign Monday and Tuesday as they compete in the second annual Troy Women’s Intercollegiate at Arrowhead Country Club in Montgomery.

A field of 15 teams will hit the par-72, 5,850-yard course Monday morning. New Orleans is the defending team champion, while Shauna McVeigh, now an assistant coach at Troy, won medalist honors at the inaugural event.

Joining Samford and host Troy will be Louisiana-Monroe, South Alabama, Western Kentucky, Austin Peay, Belmont, Centenary, Jackson State, Jacksonville State, Murray State, Nicholls State, Northern Colorado, and Tennessee State.

Tournament play will consist of 18 holes each day, starting at 8 a.m. Results will be available immediately following play at www.troytrojans.com, while recap of the events will be posted at www.samfordsports.com.
