Samford Men’s And Women’s Golf Head To Clarksville, Tenn.

--- Bulldogs to compete in F&M Bank Intercollegiate ---

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The Samford University men’s and women’s golf teams head to Clarksville, Tenn., to compete in the F&M Bank Intercollegiate hosted by Ohio Valley Conference rival Austin Peay on Monday and Tuesday.

The men’s team will compete in the two-day 54-hole tournament at the par-72 Links at Novadell, playing two 18-hole rounds on Monday and one 18-hole round on Tuesday.

The men’s field will include 18 teams, including OVC rivals, Austin Peay (fielding two teams), Eastern Illinois, Morehead State, Murray State, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech and Tennessee-Martin. Additionally, Belmont, Cincinnati, Dayton, IPFW, IUPUI, Lipscomb, Troy, Western Illinois, and Wright State will be competing.

The women’s team will compete in a two-day 36-hole tournament at par-71 Clarksville Country Club, playing one 18-hole round on both Monday and Tuesday.

There will be 14 teams competing in the women’s tournament, including OVC rivals Austin Peay, Eastern Illinois, Murray State, Tennessee State and Tennessee Martin. Additionally Belmont, Butler, Dayton, Evansville, IPFW, IUPUI, Lipscomb, Wofford will compete alongside the Samford women.

The women’s team is set to tee off with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., both days, while the men’s team will tee off in an 8 a.m., shotgun start on Monday and a 9 a.m., shotgun start on Tuesday.
