Volleyball Takes On Conference No. 2 Jacksonville State Wednesday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The Samford volleyball team will travel to Jacksonville, Ala., this Wednesday to take on the Gamecocks of Jacksonville State University at 7 p.m. The Bulldogs look to bounce back from losses this weekend at Austin Peay and Tennessee State.

Samford had been on a three-match win streak prior to the start of conference play. However, the Bulldogs lost a tough five-game match to the Governors of Austin Peay Friday night, handing them their first conference loss. Samford then took on the Tigers of Tennessee State, who were at the time ranked fifth in the Ohio Valley Conference. The Bulldogs lost that match in three straight games, putting them on a two-match skid.
