Samford Men’s Tennis To Play In South Carolina Invite


--- Bulldogs get back to action after long break ---

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The Samford men’s tennis will head to Columbia, S.C., this weekend to participate in the USC Fall Invitational. The Bulldogs will try to better the good weekend they had a few weeks ago in the UTC Baras Classic.

The invitational will feature six singles flights and three doubles flights. Match play will begin at 9 a.m., Friday morning and will continue through the weekend. Flights finals are scheduled for Sunday afternoon.

Several Bulldogs made it to the finals in the singles and doubles draws of the Baras Classic. Bulldogs duos Sam Huffman/Renan Silveira and Hank Grant/Stuart Misner met in the finals of their doubles draw but did not play the match. Brian Dushock/Manuel Miletic made it to the finals in their draw but could not get past a pair from UAB. Silveira also made it to the finals in his singles draw.

Samford will be competing with 32 other teams in the USC Invitational including Alabama squads from UAB, Jacksonville State, Auburn, and Auburn Montgomery. To view draws from the tournament, visit USCsports.com.
